Oak red wine from Costers del Sió Winery.

Tempranillo - Syrah

A pleasant, fine, oaky red wine.

Ageing: 5 months in second use French and American oak barrels.

Harvest: Grapes are picked between the last week of September and the fist fortnight of October, and are collected in small trailers before being taken quickly to the winery.

Vineyards: Situated in the coolest areas of the estate and with an average yield, the vines are cultivated using integrated production methods and organic techniques.

Elaboration: Made in 17,000 kg vats at a controlled temperature of less than 24ºC. Maceration 10 days.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: An intense purple colour. Clean and bright.

Nose: An intense aroma combining the different varieties of grapes with forest fruits and toasty, smoky, vanilla notes from the barrel.

Mouth: Fine and pleasant. Well rounded and balanced tannins, with an intense aftertaste of ripe fruit and toasty notes.

Wine Pairing: An ideal accompaniment for starters, pasta or rice dishes. It can also work well with some meats, poultry and pork. Cured meats bring out its character. Also interesting to be served alone as an aperitif.
