Gastronomic white wine from Costers del Sió Winery
White Grenache - Chardonnay
White wine aged sur lie.
Basket-picked harvest between mid-August and the third week of September.
Comes from unpressed Garnacha grapes fermented in new French oak barrels and the rest in small stainless steel tanks.
Aged sur lie with battonage for five months before being refined prior to bottling.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Pale straw-yellow colour with golden hues.
Aroma: Complex and elegant nose, aromas of tropical fruits such as pineapple, melon and banana. Also pleasant floral hints with overtones of dried fruits.
Taste: Long and full-bodied on the palate, with just the right amount of acidity. Flavours of apples, citrus fruits, melon and honey. Woody aftertaste with scents of toast and caramel.
Pairing: Pairs well with fish and seafood. Also excellent with pasta and rice, especially risotto-style dishes, and ideal with foie gras and mild cheeses.
